I’m a media and communications consultant, a professor of political science, a writer and a filmmaker. Lumberjills is my passion project, and I am looking for the right partner to shoot and produce a full season of the show. Dozens of people have participated in this project and helped get it to this point, so please scroll down and read their names. You can read more about my past work on my personal page.

The project currently is looking for funding to produce a full season that would follow selected Lumberjills as they train, deal with all of the obstacles we're all experiencing in a post-pandemic world and finally realize their dreams on the Stihl Championship stage. Why should the Lumberjills' story be told? I'll let you decide after you've watched the pilot, but you could choose any or all of the reasons listed here:
-
Because powerful women in male-dominated areas deserve to be heard.
-
Because life outside cities on either coast isn't often depicted accurately in the entertainment world. How many more Housewives of Orange County shows do we need?
-
Because watching very sharp, very dangerous tools wielded with skill is exciting.
-
Because the Lumberjills show how you can compete like your life depended on it but still support those same competitors when you lose.
-
Because these women keep the memory of the original foresters alive.

Thank you
There were many people who helped make the first episode of Lumberjills possible, and I am indebted to all of them. They include filmmakers, teachers, Lumberjills, friends, family and donors from our Kickstarter and the GoFundMe campaign. I am deeply grateful for their confidence in me and in the project.
